About

Hi, my name is G!

I’m a Filipino postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Tokyo and United Nations University, supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). I am currently based in Tokyo, Japan.

I earned my Ph.D. in International Studies from Waseda University as a Japanese Government (MEXT) scholar. My research focuses on Indigenous peoples, inclusive education, gender studies (especially queer theory, SOGIE, and comprehensive sexuality education) and Southeast Asian studies.

Apart from research, I have experiences working with the United Nations system, particularly UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the United Nations University.

I love engaging in advocacy work and conversations about Indigenous issues, gender equality and Southeast Asia. I’m always open to collaborations, new ideas, and meaningful connections! Let’s get connected.
